Over the weekend, President Trump, in a series of tweets, canceled secret talks that were set to be held with Taliban officials at Camp David. The president of Afghanistan was also set to meet with Trump separately.

President Trump stated that the reason for the cancellation came after theTaliban admitted to being behind a recent attack near the US embassy in Kabul, which killed one US soldier, one Romanian soldier, and 10 Afghani civilians.
