For all to see!...redacted

After 2 years of investigation, the Dept of Justice released a redacted version of Robert Mueller's report into possible collusion between Russia and Trump's 2016 presidential campaign. The 448 page report (read at your leisure) addresses whether Russia interfered in the election and if Trump's campaign worked with Russia in doing so.

So what's the verdict?

The report does not exonerate Trump from any wrongdoing, but it also does not state that he or his campaign did anything wrong. The president and his allies view this as a huge victory. His opponents, meanwhile, are busy pointing out other parts of the report that are still worrisome.

Daily Caller: Here's What Mueller Found (Or Didn't Find) On Collusion

Fox News: Mueller struggled to find crime that didn't exist, says legal analyst Colwin

The right is revelling in victory on the contents of the report. They choose to focus on the fact that there is no hard evidence of collusion despite nearly two years of investigation. They believe the media should apologize for attacking Trump for so long on something that wasn't there.

CNN: Mueller discovered new ways Russia attempted to interfere in the 2016 election

NY Post: Trump repeatedly urged campaign to find Hillary Clinton’s missing emails

The left is underwhelmed by the report and chooses to focus the attention on other concerning issues in the report. They note that Russia interfered in the election more than the previously thought - specifically citing a county in FL that may have been compromised during the election. They also note that Trump repeatedly asked his campaign (and Russia - publicly) to find Hillary Clinton's emails

Where's the common ground?

Both sides acknowledge there was some level of interference in the 2016 election by Russia. However, the degree and severity of that impact depends on the side you ask. The right plays it down and notes there was no collusion, while the left says the interference played a big roll in the outcome of the election. Will we ever know??

Don't think too hard about it
